$50K GLORY

History made! For the first time since the launch of the weekly WALL OF FAME blog, player ‘gsrk’ has become the first to win back-to-back Sunday $50K GLORY titles!

Last week, ‘gsrk’ battled to win a $10,003 prize, and in amazing circumstances, this week they have done the same and banked $9,483!

On Sunday, 23 July, 436 players entered the KKPOKER GLORY tournament tables looking to eliminate opponents for bounty prizes and a spot at the final table.

ha8p’ was the second player to make back-to-back final tables after achieving a 7th-place finish last week. This time, they went one spot better and secured 6th place for a $1,697 reward.

kk615677’ exited in 3rd place after running into a dominating hand. ‘kk615677’ shoved for 13BB from the Small Blind with 10♦ 9♠ and was called by A♦ 10♠.

The board ran out 10♣ 3♣ 2♣ 5♣ J♦ and despite the possibility of a split pot, the river card prevented it and they were eliminated.

Defending champion ‘gsrk’ was behind when heads-up play began, holding 4M (25BB) against 11M (68BB).

The players battled back and forth over several hands with ‘gsrk’ moving all in on multiple occasions in an attempt to double up, but never received a call until they shoved holding A♣ 8♠ for 12BB and were called by A♥ 10♣.

The flop fell 8♦ 6♠ 2♦ to reverse the lead as ‘gsrk’ hit top pair. The board completed 4♣ & 3♥, to keep ‘gsrk’ alive.

‘gsrk’ then won several small pot hands to take the chip lead and started to assert their aggressive play even more, and after 20 mins of action, the final heads-up hand occurred.

With blinds at 120/240K, ‘gsrk’ raised to 552K with A♣ 9♥ and received a call from ‘kk289399’ holding 9♣ 6♣. The flop fell 9♠ 5♦ 2♠ and ‘kk289399’ check-raised a 392K bet to 1.2M. ‘gsrk’ moved all in for 8.6M and ‘kk289399’ called for 5.2M.

The 10♠ on the turn changed nothing, and 8♥ on the river meant that ‘gsrk’ had performed a great turn-around to win the $50K GLORY once again!

$30K HIGH ROLLER PKO

後がねえよ!’ was this week’s $30K HIGH ROLLER champion after defeating a 128-player field for a $8,417 prize.

There was another final table appearance for ‘ha8p’ but they failed to make the top 3 after losing a blind-on-blind battle. ‘ha8p’ was in the Big Blind with a chip stack worth only half a big blind, and called with K♠ Q♣, after the Small Blind player moved all in with Q♥ 5♠. The board ran out K♣ 6♥ 3♥ K♥ J♥ and the flush saw ‘ha8p’ eliminated.

With the final 3 remaining, ‘kk105501’ moved all in from the Button for 10BB with K♦ J♦, and ‘後がねえよ!' called from the Small Blind with A♠ 10♥

The flop fell 4♠ J♠ Q♥, and ‘kk105501’ took the lead with middle pair. But when the K♥ on the turn gave them two pair, their opponent improved to a straight, and the 10♣ on the river signalled the end for ‘kk105501’.

The stacks remained as they were during heads-up for many hands until a bad beat situation ended the battle! ‘みのポ’ called on the Button for 120K with A♣ A♠ and ‘後がねえよ!’ moved all in for 4.1M holding K♣ J♠, which caused ‘みのポ’ to call for their final 1M.

‘みのポ’ was in a good position to double up, but amazingly the flop fell 6♣ K♥ K♦, to give ‘後がねえよ!’ three-of-a-kind. The 4♠ on the turn, and 3♠ on the river couldn’t help ‘みのポ’ and were eliminated as the runner-up.

$20K GLORY WARM-UP

けつ師’ took down the $20K GLORY WARM-UP for a $4,525 reward!

Last week’s HIGH ROLLER champion ‘OWAKEN’ featured on the final table but was eliminated in 8th place.

クロムチ’ earned $1,195 in 3rd place after getting their 11BB stack in pre-flop while holding A♠ 9♦. They were up against 8♠ 8♦, and were unable to win the classic flip after the board fell 3♠ 5♥ K♣ 2♠ K♠.

kk626372’ had a big head-up chip lead over ‘けつ師’, with 5M to 1.2M, but things were soon to change...

‘けつ師’ quickly doubled their stack while holding A♣ 2♥ against Q♣ 8♥, and then took the lead several hands later when holding A♠ K♦ against A♦ 8♠, and just two hands later, the comeback was complete!

With blinds at 50K/100K, ‘けつ師’ called on the Button with 9♠ 7♠ and ‘kk626372’ raised to 350K with K♠ Q♠, which was called.

kk626372 checked on the 7♥ 6♣ 4♠ flop, and with 730K in the middle, ‘けつ師’ shoved for 3.8M holding top pair, and put all the pressure back onto the 1.6M stack.

‘kk626372’ had to use extended time banks to think, but eventually called with the back-door flush draw and two over cards.

The 10♦ on the turn meant that only a King or Queen on the river would mean the tournament would continue, and when the final card was revealed to be the 7♦, ‘けつ師’ was crowned the champion.
